About Me
The story of resilience, intuition, and returning home to yourself.
I am Jen, founder of Zahra. Zahra is an Arabic word meaning flower, blossom, and “the radiant one”—a name chosen with intention because it represents everything I believe about healing, transformation, and the human spirit. Like a flower, we are not meant to remain buried beneath the weight of our experiences; we are designed to bloom.
My own journey has been one of survival, awakening, and remembering. As a child, I experienced circumstances that shaped the way I viewed the world and myself. For many years, I carried stories, confusion, and realities that were not my own. Beneath it all, however, was a deep knowing that life was meant to be different. There was a rebellious part of me that refused to accept limitations, control, or the belief that suffering was all there was.
At just fifteen years old, I left home and began building a life guided by faith, resilience, and intuition. I often say that from that moment on, I was raised by God. Through every challenge, setback, and lesson, I developed an unwavering trust in myself and in something greater than myself. That trust became my compass, guiding me through life’s uncertainties and teaching me that even our most difficult experiences can hold profound meaning.
Over the years, I realised that what had helped me survive was also a gift. I could feel what others were feeling, sense what remained unspoken, and see beyond the masks people wore to the deeper truth of who they were. Today, that gift forms the foundation of my work. I help people reconnect with themselves beneath the conditioning, expectations, wounds, and fears that have shaped their lives. My role is not to tell people who they are; my role is to help them remember.
Through intuitive guidance, healing experiences, retreats, and transformational work, I create spaces where people feel safe enough to be seen, understood, and empowered to step into their own truth. Zahra was born from the belief that no matter what we have endured, we are capable of blooming, that our greatest wounds can become our greatest wisdom, and that healing is not about becoming someone else—it is about returning to who we were before the world told us who we should be.
I am Jen, founder of Zahra, and my purpose is to help others discover the light, truth, and radiance that has always existed within them.

MY JOURNEY
From Hospitality to Healing
Long before I became the founder of Zahra, my journey began in hospitality. My first role was in the kitchen of an upmarket Italian restaurant in Port Solent, Portsmouth. From there, I quickly progressed into management, becoming Assistant Manager of a tearoom by the age of seventeen. Throughout my late teens and twenties, I worked across restaurants, pubs, bars, and hospitality venues, eventually settling in Bristol.
Hospitality taught me something that would remain at the heart of everything I do today: people matter. I learned how to read a room, anticipate needs, create experiences, and make people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Looking back, I can see that even then, I was being prepared for the work I would one day do.
In 2009, my life changed dramatically. Following a traumatic and life-threatening relationship, I found myself rebuilding from the ground up. I entered the women’s refuge system and spent almost three years creating safety, stability, and a new future for myself and my family. It was during this period that I began searching for answers.
I discovered the Law of Attraction and entered traditional talking therapy. Over the following six years, I worked tirelessly to understand my past, unpack trauma, and make sense of experiences that had shaped my life. The therapy helped me understand what had happened, but something was still missing. Despite years of talking, analysing, and understanding, I still felt angry, lost, and disconnected from myself.
So I prayed for change.
What followed would transform my life completely. I began exploring the connection between the mind, emotions, energy, and the body. I discovered that healing was not simply about understanding our experiences intellectually. True healing required addressing what we carry emotionally, energetically, and spiritually.
This led me to train in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Inner Child Rescue, STAR Therapy, ThetaHealing, Energy in Motion (EMO), and Spiritual Counselling. Alongside my formal training, I developed a deep personal practice using tarot as a tool for self-reflection, spiritual connection, and honest conversations with both myself and God.
Today, my approach combines lived experience, professional training, intuition, and faith. I do not believe my path has been guided by coincidence. There have been too many moments of divine timing, too many miracles, and too many experiences that defy logic for me to deny the presence of something greater than myself.
I do not work with spirit guides. Instead, I place my trust in God, in Jesus, and in the angelic protection and guidance that I have felt throughout my life. Through every challenge, every lesson, and every breakthrough, I have experienced a love greater than fear, greater than trauma, and greater than anything this world could take away.
That love became my foundation, and it is from that foundation that Zahra was born—not as a business, but as a calling. A place where healing, truth, faith, transformation, and human connection come together to help others remember the light that has always existed within them.
